Storm King School
The Storm King School is a highly selective, independent, coeducational boarding and day school, ranked among the top 30 boarding schools in the US. The School was established in 1867. SKS is a college preparatory school for students in grades 8-12 with an enrollment of 180 and 37 faculty that live on or near campus throughout the year.
The school enrolls students from over 27 countries. The Storm King School is accredited by NYSAIS and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. SKS is a member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools, and the College Board, among other professional organizations
New York Military Academy [NYMA]
NYMA is a 128 year-old, international secondary boarding school with a rapidly growing math and science program, strong discipline, good athletics, and powerful leadership training. NYMA has trained top international leaders in politics, arts and business including President Donald Trump. The school started a successful ESL immersion program many decades ago and currently has about 30% international students. Special programs are available in science and law and they have just started a one year post-graduate program. In the summer, NYMA offers popular leadership and STEAM programs for many age groups both domestic and international.

Cornwall Public Library
The Cornwall Public Library houses a collection of close to 195,000 items that includes hardcover books, paperbacks, ebooks, audio books, DVDs, and music CDs. There are over 8,800 registered borrowers, it receives over 151,000 annual visits, and is open 7 days a week. The Library has 8 public computers, 2 children’s learning stations, a laptop/iPad lab for training and in-house borrowing, and a children’s early literacy mini iPad lab with 10 mini iPads for use by pre-schoolers through teens. There is a diverse offering of programs for people of all ages and interests that draw more than 8,300 attendees annually. The Library serves as a Community Center for residents of the Cornwall Central School District and beyond, and strives continually to meet the needs and requests of the Greater Cornwall Community.
Hudson Highlands Nature Museum
Hudson Highlands Nature Museum has been a Cornwall attraction for decades, and has grown into a leading provider of nature education experiences in the Hudson Valley. Its mission is to develop responsible caretakers of the natural world through its special focus on Environmental Education. It uses its living collections of native animals, natural habitats and trails to present a wide variety of programs for people of all ages at its two locations. The Wildlife Education Center located at 25 Boulevard,Cornwall-on-Hudson is the home of many animals that can be found in our local woods, fields, ponds and rivers including, rabbits, turtles,frogs, toads, salamanders, snakes and fish, as well as a screech owl,a great horned owl, and of course the crowd favorite, Edgar, our resident crow that says "hello!" Stop in Fridays-Sundays from 12pm-4pm for special "Meet the Animals" events Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 2:30pm year-round. Visitors can also enjoy the interactive *"Birds on the Wing" exhibit and read their way along the StoryWalk® trail The Outdoor Discovery Center nature preserve, located on Muser Drive,across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall has miles of great hiking trails winding through woods and fields, overlooking scenic wetlands home to many native animals including a Great Blue Heron. Stop in the Gift Shop or Grasshopper Grove, on Saturdays and Sundays (mid-April through mid-November) 10am-4pm, where parents can re-discover the wonders of nature play with their small children.
